WHALE WATCHING
When the humpback whales are here you can see them just about every where you look. Some of the better viewing locations from shore would be at either the Scenic Lookout along the Honoapilani Highway or up on the cliffs over looking Honolua Bay. During late February and March, sometimes you can free dive down off the beach and even hear them singing!!

THE ROAD TO HANA
It is not so much the destination that counts on this trip as it is the scenery on the way. The east side of Maui is what you really picture Hawaii to be. Pack a big lunch, stop at as many waterfalls and pools as you can. The many flower and fruit stands, Wainapanapa State Park and Oheo gulch are only some of the many highlights.

MAKENA BEACH
One of the largest and prettiest beaches on the island. This is the last major undeveloped beaches on the south side of the island. This beach is so precious that the county of Maui has purchased the surrounding land to keep it undeveloped. Locals and visitor enjoy the soft white sand and crystal blue waters. Just over the rise is little beach for those that like total exposure to the sun.

If your timing is right you will get to see some the worlds top professional windsurfers in action. Considered to be the windsurfing capital of the world, Ho'okipa beach park attracts windsurfers from around the world to challenge the wind and waves. These guys, and girls fly at speeds up to 30mph and jump distances of over 30 feet.

IAO VALLEY
This is one of the prettiest and easiest hikes on the island. The paved walkway takes you to the incredible Iao Needle. For the more adventure some you can continue up the stream to some nice pools for a quick dip.

SUNSETS
These don't cost you a nickel but they are worth a million bucks. Take the time to sit down and watch an entire sunset with someone. Doesn't matter if it with a stranger or the one you love. These things are definitely worth sharing.
