TIPS FOR CHOOSING THE RIGHT ACTIVITY Knowing your location on Maui helps with choosing the right activity. Let’s say you are staying up in Kapalua and you want to go on a snorkel trip. Lahaina harbor is closer to you than Ma’alaea harbor. If you’re over in south Maui (Kihei, Wailea, Makena), Ma’alaea is closer to you than Lahaina harbor. I won’t push you either way, that’s up to you to decide. Nearly all helicopter tours leave from Kahului (Centeral Maui), so location is not an issue. Also knowing what kind of a time frame you have helps out. One of the biggest mistakes Hawaii visitors make is trying to do to much to fast. If you try to do to much while you are here your going to need a vacation after your Maui vacation! Try and do only one activity a day.
